1. $sudo apt-get install xscan

2. Download windows driver from Epson

3. Copy TAIL_061.BIN from download driver to /usr/share/sane/

4. $sudo chmod 644 /usr/share/sane/TAIL_061.BIN

5. $sudo vi /etc/sane.d/snapscan.conf
#firmware /usr/share/sane/snapscan/your-firmwarefile.bin
firmware /usr/share/sane/TAIL_061.BIN

6. Find SCSI and USB scanners and their device files
$sane-find-scanner

7. To get a list of devices:
$scanimage -L

8. To scan with default settings to the file image.pnm:
$scanimage > image.pnm
